Leanne Bridgewater
Leanne Bridgewater is a UK visual poet with the belief that words are overrated. Expressions are waves, like heat, blowing at different temperatures. Vision is best distorted, becoming abstract, allowing readers/viewers to see multiple meanings. Her work is inspired by nature and manipulation. Her drawing of text into asemic comes into a 'pareidolia' (seeing faces in patterns) state. Leanne is involved in film, poetry, movement, visuals and runs workshops on creative writing. Her book Dharma Dialog is a visual text comic, discussing how we’ve forgotten we are animals.
